In Dec 2016 BLTTC established a partnership with French NGO; Ping Sans Frontieres (Ping Without Borders) with the aim of achieving the following objectives;
- Support BLTTC and members through the donation of equipment.
- Promote the game of table tennis as a personal and collective vector of growth
- Support BLTTC to enable low participation groups and disadvantaged populations to partake in table tennis
- Building outdoor and hand-made convertible tables enabling their use for both table tennis and our education program.
- Develop an exchange program and twinning between BLTTC, PSF and French clubs to both develop the players and the quality of coaching and resources in South Africa
- Promotion of both organisations mission and achievements through all communications & media
Our achievements to date -
Through the partnership to date, BLTTC has gratefully received a significant amount of equipment from PSF and their club partners. Along with PSF we have constructed an outdoor table and 4 convertible mini tables, the latter of which we have used in numerous events to reach out to communities and promote the game of table tennis. Byrone Abrahams; BLTTC Junior Coach & 2016 SA Junior Champion has also completed a 1 month training camp with Levallois Table Tennis Club in Paris. The outcomes of Byrone's trip to France reaches far beyond that of table tennis.
